Lawyer X: The Untold Story is a two-part true crime investigation that lifts the lid on one of the most explosive chapters in Australian criminal and legal history, revealing how a brilliant barrister from one of Victoria’s most respected families became a double agent and police informer, handing over secret information on her high-profile gangster clients.

Hosted by Sky News Australia investigative reporter Peter Stefanovic, the exclusive true crime special unveils new information into events which shook Victoria’s justice system and sparked a Royal Commission into the scandal.

Stefanovic speaks to key insiders including former homicide squad detective Charlie Bezzina; daughters of murdered couple Terry and Christine Hodson, Mandy Hodson and Nikki Komiazyk; former police detective Ron Iddles; criminal defence barrister Zarah Garde-Wilson; and lawyers Michael Pena-Rees and Ruth Parker. The true crime investigation explores the tale of power, corruption and gangland criminals that has seeped into the very fabric of Australia’s legal system.

Episode 2

Peter Stefanovic explores the undoing of Lawyer X, Nicola Gobbo and investigates whether Ms Gobbo was 'manipulated' into becoming a police informant by Melbourne police. The episode explores the corruption and deceit of Australia’s law enforcement and legal system and begs the question, can the justice system can be trusted?
