The internet is full of videos of death-defying, seemingly impossible stunts, but how do they do it? In this series we discover which of those most extraordinary clips show real feats of human strength, endurance and coordination and which are rouses meant to fool us.

In each episode, a panel of six young experts in biology, chemistry, physics, maths, medicine, and visual effects examine these eye-popping videos and breakdown the science behind them to reveal whether they are fact, fake, or fiction.

Superhuman Science is pop-culture meets science as our experts apply the laws of physics, human physiology, and video analysis in our virtual science lab to separate the super human and from the super hoax, and the super science from super special effects.

Episode 9

In Norway, acrobat Eskil Ronningsbakken risks his life in a dangerous balancing act. American amateur daredevils set themselves a blaze in some risky fire stunts. German gymnast and professional stuntman Raffael Armbruste puts his passion for parkour to the test by jumping off buildings, scaling walls, and taking falls. In Thailand, Scorpion Queen Kanchana Katkaew lives in a glass room with 5,000 scorpions for a month. Finally, American strongman Derek Poundstone tests his might by pulling a 20,000-kilogram fire truck.

Episode 2

Our six experts dissect the science behind six outrageous web video stunts to determine fact from fakes, and separate the super human from the super hoax. Swedish adventurer Annelie Pompe attempts a dangerous record free dive with only the air in her lungs. A telekinetic Australian man appears to move cars and cans with only the power of his mind. Veteran skydiver Katie Hansen attempts a terrifying landing into a speeding car.
