Series 2 - Ep 8: The Atlas Mountains

North Africa has not been a location for tourists over the last few years, but Morocco still draws its visitors. Join Ryan as he wanders the back alleys of Marrakech before trekking deep in to the High Atlas Mountains and getting a taste of Berber life and making a trek up and over North Africa's highest mountain Mt Jebel Toubkal 4,167m (13,671 feet), opening outstanding views to the plains of Marrakech and the vast expanse of the Sahara Desert.

The famous Salkantay Trek has been named among the 25 best Treks in the World. The Salkantay is a trek connecting the city of Mollepata with Machu Picchu and consists of an ancient and remote footpath where massive snowcapped mountains collide with lush tropical rain forests. Join Ryan has he makes his journey deep in to Peru past Mount Salkantay, an outstanding glacier-capped summit worshipped for thousands of years by local Indians.

Series 2 - Ep 2: The Taklamakan Desert

Hundreds of years ago one of the major challenges to traders along the Silk Road was the deadly Taklamakan Desert. This desert is a 105,000 square mile waste miles of sand, dunes and gravel. Join Ryan has he takes a journey deep into the remote desert, where endless waves of sand stretch far in to the horizon in every direction. You can hire a camel and ride off into the dunes, or simply sit and contemplate the vastness of the desert.
