With nearly half a million flights a year, Heathrow is the world s busiest international airport - but as well as the 65 million human passengers, each year around 40 million animals fly in and out of the UK, most of them checking in at the Animal Reception Centre, affectionately known as the ARC. Animal Airport captures all behind-the-scenes action in the terminal buildings and on the runways... From the man smuggling a tortoise from Morocco in his underpants to the shipment of four cheetahs unexpectedly detained at the ARC.

Heathrow plays host to leopards, horses, snakes, alpacas, eagles, scorpions… if it’s an animal and it’s at Heathrow, the ARC staff are onto it.

Series 3 - Episode 2

Heathrow's animal reception centre welcomes animals of all shapes and sizes from anywhere in the World. Ten thousand tiny guests create a buzz, a cute customer makes an unscheduled visit and a big bird ruffles some feathers in the large animal den. Supervisor, Anna, is on hand to deal with the latest arrivals.

Series 2 - Episode 13

In this episode Stuart checks a shipment of expensive snakes, Chris has to deliver some very upsetting news to the owners of a dog with the wrong paperwork, Ross decides to take a back seat dealing with some specially trained attack dogs, and Tara and Will learn how to handle the ARC's resident bad tempered rock python. Will they come out unscathed?

Series 2 - Episode 1

In this episode senior Animal Health Officer Stuart nurses a rare tarsier back to health, Ross has his hands full with a seriously cranky cat, Sian has her first experience of Alpacas as 35 arrive in one go, and Rocket the German Spitz begins his new life in the UK.
